There will also be delicious deserts for afters.

We thought everyone might appreciate a good old roast dinner at the end of the day and that by having it catered, we could all concentrate an having a chat and checking out each others "brag books"

Haven't been posting much as I have been sooo busy... Trying to ride at any opportunity.

Anyway, for those interested-

I'm getting used to his trot now, so we have started doing our 20m circles and figure eights... He's a little stuffed after our sessions, considering he was only used for very occasional trails ...

24 y.o. black bay mare

14.2hh medium build

Broken to saddle and ridden by children when younger.

Will make a good horse for a smaller child to ride.

Is well mannered and easy to do anything with

In good condition and rugged all year round

Cazzee, can you tell me if this mare is still available and if she would be any good for a RAW beginner?

Cheers,

I bought my first standardbred 8 years ago and fell in love with them. Have spent the last few years with mostly thoroughbreds, but they are not quite the same as im sure you are all aware. I have already met a couple of you and cant wait to meet everyone else. Hopefully I will have a standie to take to the trail ride, otherwise I might have to bring something ...

I'm rather new to the world of standardbreds (I brought my beautiful big 8yo boy in August 2009). Amoss had only been off the track and under saddle for 4 weeks when I brough him, but you'd think he had been a saddle horse for years!

I have only ever owned OTT thoroughbreds, but after a riding accident 2 years ago I wanted a level headed horse to regain my confidence. Since buying Amoss I have completely fallen in love with Standardbreds and their amazing temperament.

In the past 14 months, my family and I have adopted a total of 7 horses through AFTER, two mares which are now in foal and due within the next two months. When we adopted each horse, they showed no sense of being cared for from previous owners.
