He was adopted from SPPHA. I haven't had horses for ten years but my 11yo started riding a friends pony and "wham" - glad I kept my saddle! I got the mounting block out and stood over him, then draped myself over him and patted his sides etc. He was pretty good, he fidgeted a couple of times and moved away from the mounting block.
