Attack of the Killer Shetland Ponies

Post by Rocky's Mum on Wed Jun 03, 2009 11:58 pm

Well, it's official. Rocky is a sook! Today we were riding in the back hilly paddock and suddenly he froze. Stared into the paddock next door. Over the hill came....... two shetland ponies! He was horrified. Backed up, spun (slowly!) and I could hear his heart thumping. Took ages to unfreeze him and I didn't want to get off cause I need a mounting block to get back on! Eventually he moved but he still kept staring at these ponies who of course hung over the fence to stickybeak at Rocky!
Has he never seen a horse with short legs? He lives with two 11hh ponies. Obviously he knows that shetlands can be mean and nasty and regularly beat up champion racehorses!!!!!
On the weekend we'll go and graze by the fence and hope the two devil ponies visit again.
Brave, my horse certainly isn't.

Please send two minis down. It was the pair of ponies which was the problem - obviously they would surround him then stomp their tiny hooves on him!
